Professional Learning Opportunities from CSDE & SERC
IN THE SCIENCE OF READING AND ADOLESCENT LITERACY
Through a joint partnership with HILL for Literacy, SERC, and the CT State Department of Education, we’re offering a range of affordable opportunities for professional learning in the Science of Reading and Adolescent Literacy in the 2024-25 school year.
These virtual training series are exclusively for Connecticut special educators, reading interventionists, and remedial reading specialists currently employed in Connecticut as well as educator preparation program faculty. Graduate credit will be available as well for an additional fee and coursework.
- – The Asynchronous Primary and Intermediate Series both include ten asynchronous modules to be completed prior to the corresponding scheduled 1-hour virtual application sessions with a live instructor.
- – The Adolescent Literacy Series is ten 2.5-hour live, virtual sessions with an instructor, plus additional asynchronous assignments.
